House renovation series - The Hallway

OK, since this blog is all about places (and also things) that inspire me apart from science (because I have another place just for science:-) geek) I decided to share my house renovation projects with you.

First here is a very easy and cheap hallway reno.

While we were fixing our place this hallway became the place for all the dump, old dark wood wardrobes, old unused computers and other "needs to be taken to the basement" stuff. After getting everything out its dirty white walls were somehow empty and I decided to paint them bright sunny yellow. But the result just didnt work for me.

BEFORE

I was trying to figure out what to do with the place to make it feel finished.

AFTER

The solution came in the form of subtle yellow stripes. In my opinion the hallway finally doesnt look empty and unfinished anymore. I am really happy with the result.

Total costs: free, because I already had white and sunny yellow paint from my previous paint job and I mixed the subtle yellow shade myself.

NEXT TIME: Bedrom renovation

Carpe diem,

M.
